The study examined the research data management and related services offered by South Asian countries' academic libraries. Research applied quantitative approach and survey research design method were used for this study. The survey questionnaire was distributed randomly to academic library professionals in five countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The sample population comprised 67 library professionals from various institutes of five countries. The study’s findings revealed that 83.6% of institute libraries provide research data management services to their users. The present study is based on the scientometric analysis of 218 documents published in JoLiS from 2007 to 2016.The study explored various parameters of scientometrics such as total output ; year wise distribution and growth of research output; future growth of publications; degree of collaborations among authors, most prolific author, top ten countries in terms of research output and top cited article of the journal. The study found that most productive years were 2015 and 2016 with 28 (12.84%) publications and the least productive year was 2009 with 15(6.88%) publications. The present study evaluates the publication trends of IFLA Journal for the period 2013-2019. Using bibliometric techniques 189 articles of seven volumes of the source journal were examined in terms to identify chronological distribution, authorship pattern and gender distribution, mapping of subjects, types of document cited, ranking of authors etc. The results highlight that majority of contributions have been made by female authors and huge amount of authors were affiliated to the universities.
