Knowledge Mapping Of Alzheimer’S Disease Research: A Scientometric Analysis, Mamatha V, Dr Keshava

The paper explores the growth pattern of Alzheimer’s disease literature, published during 2014-2018. The data has been retrieved from the Web of Science database by using the keyword ‘Alzheimer’s Disease’. The downloaded articles were classified chronologically and transferred to a spreadsheet for the analysis as per the objectives of the study. The study results revealed that a total of 38936 publications were found out of which maximum publications (8355) were found in the year 2018 and the minimum 7192 publications were found in the year 2014. This study carried out the scientometric analysis of road traffic accident research in India from 1977 to 2020. It aimed to examine type of publications with their citations and usage, the year wise publication and citation growth, most preferred journals, authors’ preference of keywords used, collaboration of Indian authors, authorship pattern and most prolific authors, and top contributing organizations. An attempt is made for bringing out the growth of literature on human genetics. Web of Science database has been used to retrieve the data of five years (2014-2018) by searching a keyword “Human Genetics" in the combined topics, abstract and keywords fields. The scientometric tools and techniques such as document type, year wise distributions, language, and country wise distribution are used for measuring the outputs.
