This paper intends to assess the growth of research publications and citations of engineering colleges affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi based on Scopus database. It is attempted to analyze parameters like the growth of research output among rural and city colleges i.e. geographical distribution of publications, pattern of research communication, share of national and international collaboration across Karnataka and high productivity institutions and top highly published journals and cited papers.

Examining The Education Dissertations At Andrews University, Bernard Helms, Cynthia Mae Helms

Citations from the bibliographies of Andrews University education doctoral dissertations completed in 2013-2017 were analyzed to understand the needs of graduate education students for collection management purposes. The study looked at type, citation age, and availability of the sources cited. The citations from the 31 dissertations were mainly periodicals (47%) and books (37%), with smaller percentages of dissertations, Web sites, and other forms of resources. A majority of the sources had a citation age of less than 20 years. The findings showed a weakness in the book collection, as only 44.54% of book citations were held by the library. In …

The study analyzed 72940 papers indexed by Scopus and published by six Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur and IIT Roorkee) during the period 2006-2015, which indicates that 72940 papers received 572583 citations in all during the period 2006-2015 in an average rate of citation per paper for six IITs is 7.85. Highest 4 authors are from IITKGP, followed by 3 authors each from IITR, IITD and IITB are highly cited by others. Bibliographical details of research papers and papers citing them were analyzed to indentify the productivity and performance of faculty and research scholars of University of Mysore. Findings show Authors of University of Mysore have collaborated with most of the developed countries in the world. USA has the highest collaborative works followed by Japan. Further, Researcher has also attempted to know the publication productivity per author. Study revealed that publication productivity per author for 806 collaborative research papers is 0.1810.

Scientometrics is one of the leading peer-reviewed journals in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS). The present study is aimed to evaluate the salient characteristics of the 100 most-cited papers of Scientometrics. The bibliographic data of most cited papers were extracted from the Scopus database. The attributes of selected papers were analyzed by using Microsoft Excel, VOSviewer, and Biblioshiny software. These papers were published between 1979 and 2017. This study aims to represent bibliometric analysis of the journal Annals of Library and Information Studies (ALIS) during 2008 to 2018. Under this study period, total number of 377 articles contributed by 723 authors published within 11 volumes and 44 issues. On average 34.27 articles published every year and researchers all over the world received total number of 3,346 citations (8.88 on average) from different reputed journals. The present study is a qualitative and quantitative analysis of scholarly research publications for mapping the research productivity of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, over a 15 year period (2004-2018). This study is based on SCOPUS database, and a total of 1319 publications were retrieved in order to examine the growth of publication, access type, type of documents of publication, authorship pattern, international collaboration, highly productive subject, author and their citation count etc. We have noticed an increasing trend in the number of publication throughout the year of our study.

This paper evaluates special education journals using the h-type indices and journal impact factor. Fifty-seven special education journals were selected from the special education category of Clarivate Analytics’ Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and two published lists of special education journals. The journal h-indices were compared among themselves and with their available impact factors. The correlation analysis of the metrics found very strong positive relationships between the journal h-type indices and between the Web of Science h-index and the journal impact factors. The paper presents Citation patterns of 6914 citations appearing in 399 papers published in DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology from 2012 to 2018. The researcher identified in the paper were Volume-wise Analysis of Citations per Article, authorship pattern, forms of literature, Chronological Analysis of Citations and a ranked list of top 25 cited Library Science journals. Aim of the study: This study aimed to collect the figure of documents published in ten journals on the subject of Law indexed in the Scopus-Elsevier database and citations.

Methods/Approaches: The study's data acquired from the Scopus-Elsevier database with enrolled International standard Serial Number (ISSN) as default in the searching menu, and downloaded comma-separated value (CSV) file for calculating the results.
