Abstract

This evaluative study analyses the authorship and collaborative research activity in Indian Journal of Anaesthesia for the period of 2010-2019.The collected data are examined with the help of Collaboration Coefficient, Authorship Pattern and Activity Index. Total 2274 articles published during the study period, out of which four authored articles are highest, which is 661.During the 10 years’ period, the multi- authorship articles are gradually increased than solo research. The present study the examined the authorship patterns in the field of eosinophilia literature based on the publications indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection during the period from 1998 to 2017. Totally 70337 researchers have contributed 12118 publications produced over 1,797 journals in the subject of eosinophilia. Findings of the analysis revealed that the author’s productivity examines the trend in understanding the research process in any discipline of science; maximum records of 1625 publications produce by four authors. The study investigated the research publications of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) during the period 2009-2018 as reflected in Web of Science database. The results show that 1694 papers were published and gained 20158 citations. The average number of citations per paper identified is 11.89%. Neuroscience Neurology, Psychiatry, and Surgery are the most preferred domains to publish the articles. The global collaboration of NIMHANS is mostly with the USA, England, and Australia.
