The purpose of the study was to examine the influence of academic disciplines on the use of library-based online resources for learning activities by undergraduates in the University of Ibadan.

The paper adopted the quantitative research method. Stratified random sampling technique was adopted in selecting the undergraduate students from each faculty and department with the sampling fraction of 2.5%. The sample size for the study is 303 undergraduates of University of Ibadan. Questionnaire was the instrument used to gather data for the research. 286 (94.4%) questionnaires were properly completed and analyzed.

Using an experimental method, we examined the effects of local female celebrity Instagram images on women’s body satisfaction and self-esteem among groups of young Nigerian women. Result showed that women reported the highest self-esteem and body satisfaction when viewing thin-ideal images, but self-esteem and body satisfaction decreased after viewing plump ideal images, followed by neutral images. Additionally, while state appearance comparison was found as a partial mediator of the effects of image type on body satisfaction and self-esteem, extent of celebrity worship fully mediated these effects. This study investigated the relationship between publishers’ sales representatives’ demographic characteristics and perception on book as a product for branding and marketing in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The study is a survey research of correlational type. Total enumeration sampling technique was adopted using thirty sales representatives each from thirty publishing companies at a national training workshop in Ibadan. This study investigated the influence of information technology skills on library patronage by undergraduate students in South-west Nigerian universities. A descriptive research design of the ex-post facto was adopted using a sample size of 1527 selected out of the total population of 239,048 undergraduate students in the universities. Citations of doctoral theses in library and information science, submitted to the School of Post-graduate Studies (SPGS), University of Maiduguri between 2014 and 2018 were analysed for the following variables, viz; bibliographical format of literature cited, age of publications cited and a ranked list of journal titles cited. Bibliometric techniques were used in the analysis, which involves counting and categorizing references cited for each of the following; textbooks and monographs, journal articles, theses and dissertations, conference proceedings, unpublished sources, reports, newsletters and online sources, journal articles cited, and examinations of the age of publications cited. This study investigated automated cataloguing system in academic libraries in selected higher institutions in Oyo State Nigeria. The population of the study covered all the forty one (41) professional and para-professional cataloguers working in the cataloguing section. Total enumeration technique was used for data collection. Questionnaire was distributed to all the cataloguers in the selected institutions. Descriptive statistics was used to analysed the data collected.
