This study examines the status of Item Community High School library in an attempt to showcase the state of school libraries in Nigeria. The research investigates the personnel, facility and material availability in the library as well as the extent of use of the library by teachers and students. The questionnaire and observation research methods were used to collect data for the study. Purpose: This study examines the utilization of internet by Nigerian students for research using Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), post graduate students as case study.

Methodology: The citation analysis method was employed to discover the extent of internet sources use in the Theses and Dissertations (TDs) written and submitted to the MOUAU Library. Results: On the whole, a total number of 327 TDs was studied representing all the submissions from 22 departments of 6 different colleges in MOUAU offering Master and Doctor of Philosophy programmes from the year 2000 to 2010. This study attempts to investigate the efforts of the Oyo State Library Board in the use of ICTs among its users and staff. The study appraises the library services in the state to highlight the library services development to the populace of the state. The survey research method was adopted and questionnaire was used to collect data from 110 library users and 20 library staff within the headquarter library. Purpose: This paper aims at identifying the available digital information products/services (DIS) and marketing strategies employ for these services in Nigerian Universities.

Design/methodology/approach: Case study research approach was explored. The university libraries websites were analysed, email and telephone interviews were conducted with the System Librarians in charge of DIS.

Findings – The DIS in university libraries in Nigeria are on the increase compared with what it was three years ago. The available DIS are CD-ROM, Internet Search, open access institutional repositories (OAIR), E-resources, E-books, E-journals, Online Reference Services, and computer laboratory.
