Since gaining independence in 1961, Tanzania has enjoyed high levels of national identification, far higher than other states in east Africa. Yet, between 2005 and 2015, the Afrobarometer survey recorded a decline in the national identity and an increase in ethnic identities in Tanzania. These changes are striking because of the successful nation-building policies implemented by former president Julius Nyerere. In addition, during the same period of 2005-2015, states bordering Tanzania have increased their level of national identification. Spectators and professionals have targeted financial institutions as being at the epicenter of recent markets crises The opaqueness of bank holding companies' assets has been assumed to have created additional volatility and inefficiency within the market. It appears that the capital structure of a bank is the actual driving force behind the inefficiency. I conduct multiple empirical analyses to measure whether the lack to financial institutions asset transparency negatively impacts the ability of the firms price to respond to informational innovations in a timely manner. A Profile Of Child Care Services Offered At Land-Grant Institutions, Mary E. Bissonette

A survey was created and distributed to land-grant institutions to determine the availability and description of child care services at those institutions. Participants were 70 directors of child care centers or central administrators at land-grant institutions. Thirty-nine questions provided general demographic information, general information regarding child care programs at each institution, and specific information regarding administrative concerns and quality issues in child care (based on the components of quality from the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, 1984) in both full- and half-day programs.
