Evaluation Of Spatio-Temporal Land Use And Land Cover Dynamics Using Geospatial Technologies: The Case Of Majang Zone, Ethiopia, Girma Alemu Melka, Muluneh Woldetsadik Abshare

The dynamics of land use-land cover changes is one of the phenomena which interweave the socio-economic, political, and environmental issues in Ethiopia. This study investigated the land use-land cover (LULC) changes in the Majang Zone of Gambela Region, Ethiopia over a period of 33 years from 1985 to 2018. Four sets of Landsat imageries (i.e.,1985, 1996, 2007, and 2018) were the input data from which LULC maps were produced and analyzed using remote sensing and GIS applications.
