The study seeks to illustrate the most current trends in digital library research via the use of scientometrics. The study of scientific networks is important in many scientific domains. A social network with many nodes and connections serves as the foundation for scientific network research. Nodes include authors, publications, and journals, while linkages include citations, cocitations, and coauthorship. Data was collected from the Scopus abstracting and citation database for the period of ten years from 2012 to 2021. Due to rapid smartphone health application growth and usage, we analyzed literature published in the field of spHealth Apps. SciVerse Scopus was used as the database of choice for this study. Research productivity, collaborations, citation analysis, authors and institutions were presented using well established bibliometric indicators.

During the study period (2000-20), 4546 documents were published in total. The average count of documents per year was 227. English was the language predominantly used in the retrieved documents (97%). The h- index of the retrieved documents was 137. The purpose of this study is to assess the citizen science publications in journals indexed in the Web of Science database from 1993 to 2020.Major areas of research related to CS are environmental science, ecology, biodiversity & conservation, education & educational research, public environmental & occupational science and computer science. The USA, England, Australia, Canada and Germany were the most productive countries. Digital archiving has been practised more and more in recent years, because of its significant potentials and long-term benefits. Bibliometric based review was applied to examine the digital archive research publications from the web of science from 1989 to 2019. A total of 639 publications were obtained with a steady increase of publications every year.
