Giftedness is defined as excelling in a topic beyond the capability of other peers. Oftentimes gifted students are placed in gifted programs and/or assigned gifted Individualized Education Programs in order to provide acceleration and enrichment. My survey asks participants ages 18 years of age or older questions about how they feel gifted programs or gifted Individualized Education Programs may have influenced them, and if they have any comments or suggestions for improving these programs. The Covid-19 pandemic has brought dramatic changes to higher education. Students and educators face challenges never anticipated, including switching classes from on-ground to online and back again, mental fatigue, stress, and burnout. Faculty across disciplines may turn to Andragogy to best teach college students to inform their teaching practices. This paper demonstrates how professors from education, criminal justice, and healthcare management have used andragogical techniques in their classrooms.

Globalization and NAFTA led to a greater economic and social integration between the U.S. and Mexico. This integration led to continued Mexican migration to the U.S. contributing to Hispanic growth in the U.S. with resulting shortages in bilingual professionals. Building from public anthropology, we developed exchange projects in education and health between the two countries to meet the needs of the Mexican population and foster greater understanding between the two societies. While compensation accounts for roughly 90 percent of K-12 instructional costs, there is little evidence of efficient or strategic design in these systems. Rigid salary schedules reward factors generally unrelated to effectiveness, induce field shortages, and encourage inequitable allocation of professional staff. Deferred compensation systems impose sharp penalties on mobility, promote early retirement and generate large unfunded liabilities. Serious attempts to bring greater efficiencies to K-12 spending and raising teacher quality must confront the dysfunctional compensation system.

This study investigates the relationship between education and several economic and social outcomes. On the economic side we consider the link between education and income. We also look at how education is related to health choices and social cohesion. Our basic question is: “What is the relationship between educational decisions made in the past and economic and social outcomes today?” Answers to this question reflect not only personal educational choices, but also shed light on the policy issue of why it is important to improve educational attainment.

It seems common sense that the more educated someone is, the greater the chances that they will have relatively higher incomes. Indeed, on average someone with a college degree is more likely will have a higher lifetime stream of earnings than someone who only graduates from high school. Does this same relationship hold at the state level? Are states with better education outcomes also the states that tend to grow faster? More specifically, what does the evidence on Missouri’s educational achievement predict for the state’s economic future?

The purpose of this paper is twofold, as it includes a literature review concerning factors influencing generosity, as well as a proposal for study that investigates generosity based upon five factors, religiosity, gender, race, annual income and education level, and it is supposed to conclude which out of five factors best predict generosity. Inspiration for the study was found in Will and Cochran (1995) finding drastic differences in giving in different religious affiliations, income, sex, race, and denomination. This is a proposed research study concerning the presence of prejudice among children, especially concerning ambiguous everyday situations. Racism can be a source of chronic stress, mental health issues, and physical health issues for those involved, and everyday acts of prejudice can be even more harmful that overt acts of racism. These acts can cause health problems as serious as cardiovascular disease. The purpose of this study was to examine the efficacy of Conflict Resolution Programs in an elementary school. The question to be studied was whether incidents of disciplinary referrals would be reduced after implementing a Conflict Resolution Program. The entire student population of Simpson Elementary School for the academic years 1994-1995 and 1995-1996 served as subjects for this study. Disciplinary referrals were tallied for the students for the 1994-1995 academic year (i.e., the "control" group or prior to the Conflict Resolution Program). Traditional educational institutions are viewed in the context of the Islamic religious heritage and the various Islamic dynasties which developed throughout the Middle East.
