The purpose of this study was to determine if the implementation of placing a large clock in front of someone would affect their performance level on a timed task. Twenty-eight undergraduate students were asked to complete a word find. Fifteen of the undergraduate students were simply told when to start and stop working while the rest possessed knowledge of exactly how much time they had left by way of a large clock, which was placed in front of them.
