This thesis discusses the ideas and provisions on international peace maintenance that nineteen Latin American nations offered for incorporation into the United Nations Charter. The Charter was written at the United States Conference on International Organization held from April 25 to June 26, 1945, in San Francisco, California. These ideas and provisions of the nineteen countries were drawn up as amendments to and comments on the Dumbarton Oaks Proposals of 1944 by all of the Hispanic-American nations which had actively participated in the Chapultepec Conference in Mexico City in 1945.

Statement of the Problem: The problem, the construction of a rating scale for student evaluation of college teachers, had both "pure" and "applied" psychological research aspects. The "pure" facet of the problem was to develop, apply, and test the effectiveness of certain "forced-choice" principles of rating scale construction. The "applied" aspect was to construct in instrument useful to college teachers in the practice of their profession. Quotation marks are used for these terms to indicated the artificial nature of the dualism applied.

Little effort has been made to analyze and explain the combination of forces and pressures that have resulted in their creation, decided the authority to be given or denied them, and determined the manner in which they were to be filled. This thesis seeks preliminary answers to these questions for the state of New Mexico.

Both Psychology and Christianity are concerned with the well-being or wholeness of the human person. Since God is no respecter of persons, then all men are alike in their basic nature. Psychology bears out this conclusion. Therefore, upon the foundation of this basic agreement psychology may be used effectively in helping to establish a fundamental agreement for the effective worship of Christian men. The scope of this treatment will consider only three of the basic acts of Christian worship - prayer, baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Particular attention will be paid to prestige factors arising in the social and ritual life associated with the subsistence quest. The treatment of social aspects will include: t he kind of organization a particular subsistence activity involved, whether it was performed by one or more persons; the existence of professional groups; and the patterns of ownership and control of usufruct rights to natural resources.

The basic problem confronting the dairy industry today is one of utilizing its total fluid milk production. During recent years the industry has witnessed a general decrease in per capita consumption of dairy products while per capita production has remained fairly constant and in amounts approximating the average for the past 16 years (Table 2 ). Practices of land use in Utah show need for community action aimed at more adequate utilization of land and water resources. Use of land for crop production in Utah is limited by topography, soil type, elevation, climate, and moisture (26, p.3). Because of limitations imposed, only a small portion of the land area may be used for cultivated farming. As a rule, large land holdings in Utah are not regularly tilled but are used as range for raising livestock.
