The study aimed at exploring the attitudes of Jordanian university youth towards digital media applications to raise awareness of the phenomenon of societal violence, where the researcher adopted the descriptive methodology, by developing an online survey as a study tool. The survey was distributed to a non-random sample (the Snowball sample) consisting of 305 university students in three universities (Yarmouk University, University of Jordan and Mutah University). Two media theories were used in the current study: the Media Dependency Theory as a main theory and the Expectancy-value theory as a supporting theory.
