The following research deals with a very fundamental problematic related to interculturalism; classical and modern. What is understandable from interculturalism is mutural in- fluence between the elements of culture in Arabic literature and those of the Western literature in the domain of criticism. The existing dialogue between human cultures. summarizes the factors of convergence between the cultures especially at the level of academic theories.
