The Multiracial Student Experience With College Counselor Support, Asianna Harris

This narrative study presents the lived and told stories of multiracial college students with specific consideration for how they perceive the support they receive from college counselors and why they are sometimes hesitant to go to college counselors. The intention is to assist LPCs working in the college setting to become multiracially orientated. Critical Race Theory is used as a lens to understand racial microaggressions and make meaning of the inequalities that can stand as barriers to multiracial student success and social, emotional, and academic support.
