The author tells about his collection of books in his personal library. He says that his collection has grown with the number of volumes exceeding 800 as his interest in various writings expanded. Among the books he added are the travel writings of Paul Theroux, all the novels by Armistead Maupin, novels about baseball players, histories of the textile leagues and biographies of Joe Jackson. His bookshelves also contain books about music and movies, Billy Wilder's comedies, various autobiographies, and celebrity anecdotes.
