Individuals seeking certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®™) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB®™) must meet certain eligibility requirements. In addition to passing the BCBA examination, students are required to complete supervised practical fieldwork. In accruing fieldwork hours, trainees must be provided with the opportunity to complete unrestricted activities. The BACB defines unrestricted activities as “…those that are most likely to be performed by a BCBA,” and requires that 60% of fieldwork hours are comprised of these activities (BACB, 2022a). It will highlight three segments: 1- Porn’s impact on brain development of reward pathways, ultimately increasing the appetite for more porn. 2- Porn can be a false substitute for real intimacy, resulting in decreased sexual satisfaction with a real person and increased verbal and physical aggression. 3- Porn promotes sex trafficking, promotes multiple sex partners and reduced STD prevention.

With every generation there is a sociological shift in the way faith is understood and expressed. Generation Z, those born after 1995, have been influenced by post-modernity and a changing worldview. Like generations before them, Generation Z is forming their own interpretations and experiences to define and express faith. This research discovers the attitudes and behaviors of Generation Z about their faith by looking at three aspects: 1) cognitive development; 2) personal experience; 3) expression or practice.

The working title of my dissertation is Betrayal of the Body: Medical Diagnosis as a Trauma. This exploration of the concept of medical trauma is focused on how people with a new medical diagnosis experience and perceive it as an acute or prolonged trauma. Because medical diagnoses are quite common, and many illnesses are curable, treatable, or short-term in nature, they are often times not perceived as traumatic events. However, many illnesses are chronic, incurable and life-threatening, or life-shortening such as cancer, autoimmune diseases (e.g. multiple sclerosis) and neurological disorders (e.g. Parkinson’s, ALS). The Neuroscience Of Attachment Theory, Sarah M. Leitner
Sarah M Leitner
This presentation summarizes the latest findings from Cognitive Neuroscience as pertains to Attachment theory, with an emphasis on the literature from 2012 to 2014. It then explores the linkages in the neuroscience literature between attachment theory and mentalization, particularly in the areas of cognitive and emotional mentalization. Implications of the findings are considered, with an emphasis on the application of the findings for emotional regulation in the life of the counselor as well as for psychological and spiritual intervention in the lives of the counselee.
