1859 Florida Court Indictment reads: "To J. N. Butler, We recommend you to appear before the Judge of our Circuit Court for the County of Jackson, in the Western Circuit of the State aforesaid, at the Court House in Marianna, on the first Monday in May next, to testify and the truth to say on behalf of The State of Florida in a certain matter of indictment between said state, and James N.
