The primary purpose of this research was to examine the effect of internal and external attribution and a person's Body Mass Index on weight prejudice. Data for this research was obtained from an ABC News/Time Magazine Poll (2004). Logistic regression was used to analyze the data. My hypothesis that people who internally attribute the cause of being overweight or obese will be more likely to be prejudiced toward overweight or obese individuals was supported by my findings. High School Seniors' Plans After Graduation: The Decision To Go To The Military, College, A Trade School, Or Work, Yasamin Shariat

This research analyzes the decision process of high school seniors in their postgraduation plans. Most of the participants are college bound, so students were compared and analyzed according to their preparedness for college as measured by the ACT. It seems that students go to college whether or not they are actually prepared for the experience. They seem to be more influenced by a societal push towards attending college than by anything else.

Few studies have examined the social process of drug abuse recovery. To determine how recovering addicts use reference agents, such as reference groups and/or reference others, to achieve and maintain sobriety within the context of the Narcotics Anonymous (NA) support group experience, this study examines how Newcomers learn the norms and values associated with NA, how Newcomers become integrated into the NA group and internalize acceptable recovery behaviors, and how Newcomers transition to becoming Oldtimers. The Effect Of Gender, Victim Job Performance, And Victim Employment Status On Individual And Jury Perceptions Of Sexual Harassment, Marcie Krastman

The current study investigated the impact of gender, victim job performance, and victim employment status on individual juror and jury perceptions of sexual harassment. Gender, victim job performance, and victim employment are all extralegal factors that were found to influence individual jurors' perceptions of sexual harassment. The present study revealed individual female jurors were more likely than male jurors to find sexual harassment. Although gender did not have a significant effect in jury perceptions of sexual harassment, further analysis revealed females were more likely than males to change their decision on sexual harassment in a jury.
