This project attempts to analyze the trend of femicide throughout Latin América. This region has become notorious for high rates of murder of women and 7 out of the ten countries with the highest rates of femicide globally, are located in Latin América. In order to more fully comprehend femicide and how it is enacted differently in different locations I will do a more thorough background of femicide within México and Guatemala; two of the countries with some of the highest rates of femicide.
