Title : Urbanization, migration and social transformations in Casablanca's history

The main reason behind the Moroccans' migration from villages to coastal cities in general and to Casablanca in particular is policies of French colonizer. The colonial order caused the peasants to bankrupt forcing them to search for a decent living out of their villages and lands.
