香港社会动态追踪 (Hong Kong Panel Study of Social Dynamics, 简称 HKPSSD) 旨在建立一个全港具有代表性的、关于家庭与个人资料的长期跟踪调查数据库, 以研究监测社会经济变迁对民生的影响。搜集的信息涵盖家庭住房、经济活动、消费活动等以及家庭成员的教育、婚姻、生育、就业、健康、日常社会活动、心理状态及社会态度等等。第一期调查于2011年完成，成功地访问了3,214个合资格的家庭及其成员。第二期调查于2013年完成，成功追访问到第一期访问的2,165个家庭及其成员，此外还在2014年增加了1,007个家庭的新样本和一些新主题。本文将介绍HKPSSD项目的研究背景、设计理念、特色内容和来自2013和2014年调查的一些初步发现。HKPSSD将为香港社会和民生问题的科学研究和公共政策制定提供一个重要资料库。

This paper attempts to bring classes back into empirical analyses of access to civil and administrative justice, focusing on the linkage between the emergence of new middle class and legal development in China. We define six classes: the elite class, the old middle class, the new middle class, the self-employed getihu, the working class, and farmers, then examine class differentials in choosing legal resolutions to civil and administrative disputes, both actual and hypothetical ones. Changes In Educational Inequality In China, 1990-2005: Evidence From The Population Census Data, Xiaogang Wu, Zhuoni Zhang

This paper examines the trend in school enrollment and transitions to senior high school and to college in China for selected young cohorts since the 1990s, based on the analyses of the sample data from population censuses in 1990 and 2000 and the mini-census in 2005. We pay particular attention to educational inequality based on gender and the household registration system (hukou) in the context of educational expansion. Results show a substantial increase in educational opportunities over time at all levels. In particular, women have gained relative more and gender inequality has decreased over time, and the gap in college …
