International development and assistance programs have been running for many years. Yet there is a significant a gap in comparative studies of intercultural communication in academic libraries between Africa and North America. There is also a gap in understanding intercultural communication in terms of library management, library staff training, and cross-cultural knowledge transfer. This research aims to fill the gaps.
