This presentation was given in recognition of Open Access Week 2017. The presenter provided an introduction to open educational resources--what they are, where to find them, why they're being adopted by higher education institutions, and roles the library can play. The presenter covered details on CARLI's membership in the Open Textbook Network and what that participation means for Milner Library and Illinois State University. The presenter shared what she learned during OTN training sessions she attended in August 2017, including talking with faculty about open textbooks, tracking student savings, and building a program on campus.

This presentation was given in recognition of Open Access Week 2017. Presenters provided a brief introduction to open access, news about our institutional repository ISU ReD, and explored some current issues related to open access and repositories. Members of the IR Core Team will provided updates on ISU ReD, such as new and upcoming collections, services for faculty, information on electronic theses and dissertations, and refresher training on self-depositing items.
