Global climate change is impacting ecosystems, communities, and economies and will continue to do so into the future. To address these issues, sustainable practices and policies are needed on the local and global scale. At the University of Kentucky, sustainability implies that actions are ecologically sound, socially just, and economically viable. Harmonizing these three aspects is critical when developing and implementing sustainability goals on campus. The Office of Sustainability is responsible for coordinating and implementing sustainability policies, actions, and programs for the University of Kentucky. WRFL 88.1 FM (WRFL) is a student-run radio station at the University of Kentucky that has existed on the University of Kentucky’s campus since 1988. As the station recently turned 34 years old in March 2022, it has never had a strategic plan or gone through the strategic planning process. The strategic planning process was facilitated by the Principal Investigator and involved members of WRFL’s leadership team, and general student and community members. If there is an office or activity on campus that provides a service to a student, staff or faculty member, it is most likely within Auxiliary Service’s jurisdiction. As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Keep Lexington Beautiful (KLB) encourages residents of Fayette County to engage in environmentally sustainable practices (Keep Lexington Beautiful, 2020). KLB was formerly a city commission of Lexington- Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) but in the winter of 2020 to 2021 broke off to form their own independent non-profit by the same name. The overcrowding of jails and prisons and high recidivism rates are issues America is facing nationwide. Successful reentry into society following incarceration is a solution to this crisis. In response, in 2011, the Kentucky legislature passed House Bill 463 which mandated reentry councils across the state. The purpose of the councils are to address the current issues facing citizens returning from the justice system, develop a network of resources and service providers within their home area, and communicate and advocate for returning citizens by communicating issues to the community and their leaders.1 This analysis will develop a strategic plan for …
