Human service professionals such as clergy have taken part in the connection of community to public policy awareness through their leadership and advocacy especially in the Black community. Research has identified burnout in clergy; however, there is minimal research to offer insight on factors of burnout for African American clergy through exploring whether a relationship existed between burnout and transformational leadership. The purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to analyze the influencing factors of burnout among African American clergy.
