Children use others’ characteristics (e.g., intelligence and niceness) to evaluate how much a person knows (Landrum et al., 2016). However, little is known about how gender and race influence children's perception of adults' scientific knowledge. The current study examined how children ages 5-8 (N = 25; 11 girls, 14 boys) perceive adults’ scientific knowledge. In the first task, children saw 8 different adults of varying race and gender (White man, White woman, Black man, Black woman) and rated their knowledge using a five-point scale. According to the majority of literature it appears there are differences in specific advantages and disadvantages genders are exposed to in negotiations. This article aims to further introduce and break down the literature in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the intersections of negotiation and gender in regards to general negotiation practices, negotiations within the workplace, and what can be done to level the playing field in regards to disadvantages placed on certain genders. This article also addresses the remaining gaps in the literature and suggests where the research should move in future studies.

Sexuality remains a divisive but relevant topic in Indonesia, especially concerning sexual minorities, societal view on sexuality, and what role education should take regarding sexuality. The views on the education field in Indonesia are separated on two camps, with some scholars decrying LGBTQ as a problem, a phenomenon incompatible with the national, cultural, and religious values. Whereas at the same time, other schools of thought are pushing for the integration and tolerance toward sexual minority. This study aims to reveal whether there are differences in father-child relationships and mother-child relationships based on gender and to determine whether the father-child and mother-child relationship affects smartphone addiction in adolescents. This research used quantitative methods. The research participants were 159 male and 229 female adolescents aged 10-15 years in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. Research data was obtained using a questionnaire distributed online (google forms). The data were processed by using a t-test and multiple regression analysis. The current study aims to compare self-actualization between two societies, the Kuwaiti society and the Egyptian society, in light of the gender and culture variables, and the basic study sample consisted of (715) Arab university youth with a rate of (400) Kuwaiti students (236 males) and (164 females) and (315) Egyptian students (178 males) and (137 females). The members of the total study sample responded to the Self-actualization Scale of the Arab University Youth, prepared/ the researcher.
