This study investigated whether students who scored high in Food Insecurity, would have higher levels of Perceived Stress and lower Sleep Quality. Additionally, this study sought to clarify different types of stressors and their individual contribution to Sleep Quality Risk and Subjective Mental Health. The sample consisted of 65 female undergraduate students at a university in London, Ontario. A Kendall’s tau-b correlation analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between Food Insecurity and Sleep Quality Risk. Social Connectedness And Its Relation To Perceived Stress And Loneliness, Foluke Olusegun-Emmanuel

This study evaluated university students’ levels of overall social connectedness, perceived stress, loneliness, and strength of social connection with different groups (family, friends, classmates, instructors, university community). Associations between the aforementioned factors were also investigated, and time-related changes to 2020-21 data during COVID-19. Undergraduate students (n = 100) at a university in London, Ontario, completed a questionnaire comprising the Social Connectedness Scale, questions about the strength of social connections with different groups, the UCLA Loneliness Scale, and the Perceived Stress Scale. The Impact Of Sleep On Academic Burnout With The Effects Of Perceived Stress And General Well-Being, Julia D. Davidson

This study investigated the correlation between sleep deprivation, sleep quality, perceived stress, and general well-being and whether they were risk or protective factors for academic burnout. The sample consisted of 61 female undergraduate students at Brescia University College and participants completed an online questionnaire. A correlational analysis and multiple regression model revealed a significant positive correlation with the three studied factors namely sleep deprivation, sleep quality, and perceived stress with academic burnout. However, general well-being was not significantly correlated. The model that best predicted burnout scores included the variables of sleep deprivation, sleep quality, and perceived stress. Coping strategies used by varsity athletes connected to sports-related stressors have been studied but, what has yet to be determined is if the stressor type affects the coping strategies selected by these athletes. Participants consisted of 26 competitive athletes with injuries, 27 competitive athletes with other stressors, 12 non-competitive athletes with injuries, and 19 non-competitive athletes with other stressors. Instruments used to measure coping strategies, perception of stress, and athletic identity were the Brief Cope Scale, Perceived Stress Scale, and Athletic Identity Measurement Scale. Procrastination: Exploring The Role Of Coping Strategy, Yushuang Wu

The current study examined the relationship between procrastination styles, coping styles, perceived stress, personality traits, and academic outcomes in a sample of undergraduate students (n = 42). Results suggest that active procrastination is associated with active coping and less perceived stress. In contrast, passive procrastination relates to greater perceived stress. In addition, the results indicate that active procrastination is positively associated with extroversion and conscientiousness. Passive procrastination is positively related to neuroticism. Moreover, procrastination styles are not associated with academic outcomes in the current study.
