The charge of this Task Force evolved from an assignment to “work with the Head of Cataloging to develop a plan to strengthen the output of metadata needed for digital and electronic collections." This assignment grew out of a concern by Derrie Perez, Interim Dean of the USF Library System, that there was increased fragmentation of the USF Libraries collections, with electronic and digital collections accessed by means other than the online catalog.
