Unethical organizational behavior negatively impacts organizations, and despite the benefits of whistleblowing, some employees are hesitant to report employee misconduct. The specific research problem examined factors that influence employee silence when confronted with employee misconduct. Prior researchers have explored how organizational climate and organizational commitment can contribute to or inhibit the decision to report misconduct. There is a problem in the United States national security enterprise related to the National Guard’s organizational responsibilities to state and federal governments, and it was unknown whether this hybrid structure caused capabilities to diverge between pre-9/11 and post-9/11 national security priorities. AbstractSome nonprofit leaders lack strategies to develop cross-cultural competency for improving organizations’ performance. Cross-cultural competencies are needed to manage culturally diverse work teams effectively. Grounded in cultural competency theory, the purpose of this qualitative multiple-case study was to explore the strategies nonprofit leaders use to develop cross-cultural competency for improving organizations’ performance. The participants were seven nonprofit leaders who successfully led teams cross-culturally in Mexico and the United States. Ethical scandals have continued to generate disturbances in the corporate world and have encouraged ethics studies in organizations. Research has shown there is a relationship between ethical leadership and employee accountability in a variety of organizational settings, including healthcare. This research study was an investigation of the relationship between the five dimensions of personality, organizational climate, and presenteeism - coming to work when ill. Presenteeism has significant, negative impact on employee’s long-term health, the overall organizational performance, and more broadly on national health systems.
