At the Alexander Campbell King Law Library we had to get creative in the ways we redesigned methods for communication, instruction, outreach, and wellness for the library's staff, faculty, and students in 2020. Those efforts continue into 2021, and we've learned a ton along the way. In this short lightning talk, we hope to share a variety of examples to illustrate how we work together to build community both virtually and at a distance. This video was used as a part of communications with School of Law faculty, staff and students and embedded on the library's webpage for continuing services throughout the 2020-21 academic year.

The article informs about the strategy librarians at the University of Georgia's Alexander Campbell King Law Library used for applying Optical character recognition (OCR) to hundreds of documents during their multi-month COVID-19 pandemic lockdown; presenting a new opportunity for their OCR project because they needed work that staffers could do remotely; and how some staffers had duties that could only be performed in the building and were greatly limited after.

In Mid-March of 2020, libraries across the United States began closing in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, sending employees home. To document this period in time, Georgia library employees contributed short essays on their experiences with working from home, including how they continued to provide library services and resources to their users.
