The study has used different scientometric dimensions to evaluate the quantitative growth of research publications. The affiliation search was performed to find out the research publications by using the Scopus database.   1. Purpose: This study attempts to trace out the trend of use of open access e-books on Big Data through analytical study of bibliometric fields of the books.
  2. Design methodology: The present quantitative study analyses different bibliographical attributes of the books like title, degree of author collaboration, citation, density of keywords, trend of subject, and marketing areas etc.

The preservation of the scholarly record has been a point of concern since the beginning of knowledge production. With print publications, the responsibility rested primarily with librarians, but the shift towards digital publishing and, in particular, the introduction of open access (OA) have caused ambiguity and complexity. The implementation of policies promoting the adoption of an open science (OS) culture must be accompanied by indicators that allow monitoring the uptake of such policies and their potential effects on research publishing and sharing practices. This study presents indicators of open access (OA) at the institutional level for universities worldwide. By combining data from Web of Science, Unpaywall and the Leiden Ranking disambiguation of institutions, we track OA coverage of universities' output for 963 institutions.
