A century has passed since the new technology of the Great War blackened Europe's skies and rumbled slowly across once-fertile farmland. World War I marked the beginning of a new technological era; the old and the new came together as no previous conflict before to decimate parts of Europe. Tanks and the telegraph were replacing more traditional tools like carrier pigeons and draft horses, but the War melded both the old and the new together in ways previously unseen.
