This article was written by Professor of Psychology Fabián Echegaray, Professor of Sociology Paulo Krischke, and Director of Institutional Ethics Aluir Toso. All three researchers are at the Universidad Federal de Santa Cantarina. They posit and provide supporting theory and data that values which are postmaterialist (emphasizing psychological well-being and self-actualization) as opposed to materialist (emphasizing materialistic goods) are more likely to be displayed by younger than older Brazilians and by those with higher than lower social class. Theory And Practice In The Career Of Fernando Henrique Cardoso: Part I, Ibpp Editor
International Bulletin of Political Psychology
Political psychologists often contemplate the significance of their research--theoretical, empirical--for the practice of politics. Dr. Ted Goertzel of Rutgers University has written the following article concerning another researcher-practitioner--Fernando …

Occasional Papers on Religion in Eastern Europe
Today Orthodox religiosity includes, as an almost inseparable component, a struggle against Catholics and Protestants, an attempt to expose them as enemies of our faith and of Russia, as well as a complete rejection of ecumenism and of any openness towards other confessions. The very term "ecumenism" has become pejorative and an accusation of affinity towards it is seen as evidence of a certain betrayal of Orthodoxy. It is a given that our relations with Christians of other confessions have not always been smooth, we do not understand each other in everything, certain elements of Catholic or Protestant theology are …
