It has become increasingly more difficult to encounter news of today’s events and not become aware of the people who are suffering behind the scenes unfolding on our television sets, radio newscasts, screens and newspapers. Due to the multitude of media reports, we are more aware of what is happening in the remote corners of our world than we were only a few years ago.
