The United States signed a peace deal with the Taliban on February 29^th, 2020 that would result in the complete withdrawal of US forces from the country at the end of a fourteenth month period, assuming the Taliban holds up their end of the deal. This would mark the end of one of the longest wars in United States history, lasting nearly two decades.
