This article deals with the representation of critical nationalism discourse in Banyuwangian music in the New Order era. By juxtaposing representation and hegemony theory which emphasizes textual-contextual reading, we will analyze the constructions of local metaphors we assume supporting the establishment of nationalism. Such constructions intertwined with the mobilization of the uniqueness of local cultures that contributed to establishing the national culture through which nationalism got its “nutrition”. The Texas Medical Center (TMC) Photograph Collection contains photographic materials that document the growth and development of the TMC from the 1930s to 1980s. The collection consists of 2525 items and includes photographic prints, aerial photographs, negatives, transparencies and printed materials. The materials depict the institutions of the TMC, their staff, facilities, services, and patient care. Images show buildings and their construction as well as some photographic copies of architectural renderings. Aerial photographs from the 1940s to 1980s show the TMC grow from marshland to an urban center. The collection provides images of the leaders and historical figures that shaped …

The TMC Library Historical Photograph Collection contains photographs, negatives, slides, published prints, printed materials, postcards, framed images, audiovisual materials, and a plaque. The collection consists of roughly 5300 items, which includes individual 35mm slides, 35mm negatives, 120 format negatives, photographic prints, and other printed materials. This is an artificial collection of several types of images collected by or donated to the McGovern Historical Center (MHC) through the years. The bulk of the materials date from 1940 to 1990. The entire collection depicts images from 1543 to 2004. See more at IC 098.

Gender identity, one of the most important social categories in people’s lives, is socially constructed, and language is claimed to have a significant role in constructing the gender identity. This paper studies the construction of Sundanese women through five Sundanese nouns referring to women found in the corpus of Manglè magazine, published between 1958–2013. The research employs a mixed-method design in which quantitative analysis is combined with qualitative analysis to investigate how the nouns referring to women are used to construct Sundanese women from the periods of Guided Democracy (1958–1965) to Reform Era (2004–2013). Special correspondence regarding Western Kentucky University. This series runs concurrently with the General Correspondence and there is no indication of what makes it special. Of special note is correspondence regarding the Student Army Training Corps, World War I veterans and construction of Cherry Hall. Incoming letters are mainly addressed to Henry Hardin Cherry. Responses are made by Cherry and occasionally by faculty and staff. The president's secretary Mattie McLean is the author of some of the letters signed by Cherry.

During the month of October, November, and December 1996, a Cultural Resources Investigation was conducted on two Louisiana-Pacific Corporation parcels located at Big Lagoon, Humboldt County, California (see Map 1). The survey was requested by Jamie Heltsley of Ron Hunt Surveying & Forestry, Arcata, California. This United States (US) public law (US Public Law 79-269) supplemented deficiencies for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1946. This public law includes a section under “Flood Control” that specifies that the funds available for construction of the Garrison Reservoir Dam may not be spent on construction of the dam until the Secretary of the Interior finds lands “equal in quality and sufficient in area” for relocation and compensation of Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold Reservation.

This report from the United States (US) House Committee of Conference, dated December 20, 1945, was written to accompany US House Resolution 4805 which requested funds to supplement deficiencies from the fiscal year ending June 30, 1946. This report recommended an amendment to the resolution specifying that funds provided for the Garrison Reservoir Dam could not be spent on construction of the dam itself until the tribes were adequately provided for with lieu lands of equal quality and area.
