Maddy Moore, a musical theatre major from Mesquite, Texas, will perform her senior recital March 8 at 11 a.m. in McBeth Recital Hall at Ouachita Baptist University. This recital is a project Moore has been working on since last semester and will include music, theatre and dance pieces. The performance is free and open to the public.
Moore will sing six songs, dance to two songs and perform two theatrical scenes. Some of her pieces include “Climbing Uphill” from The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown, “I Want to Go to Hollywood” from Grand Hotel by Maury Yeston and …

Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will present its spring production of Little Women: The Musical with the opening performance to be held on Thursday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center. Performances will continue April 16-17 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance on Sunday, April 18, at 2:30 p.m. The production is open to Ouachita faculty, staff and students with limited seating to allow for social distancing, and streaming tickets are available to purchase for the general public at obu.edu/boxoffice.

Ouachita Baptist University will host Zachary Myers and Cody Walls for their sophomore musical theatre recitals on Friday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. in McBeth Recital Hall. The recitals are free and open to the public.
Myers, from Greenwood, Ark., and Walls, from Fort Smith, Ark., both are musical theatre majors. They are students of Dr. Glenda Secrest, professor of music, and Drew Hampton, assistant professor of theatre arts. Phyllis Walker, OBU staff accompanist, will provide piano accompaniment for both performances.
