The monograph is based upon my MA thesis, which was submitted to the Department of Sociology-Anthropology-Psychology at the American University in Cairo. The front page of this issue features stories about a suit brought against Minneapolis by St. Paul in an attempt to discredit the census of Minneapolis, a famine spreading through Cairo and upper Egypt, Congress possibly adjourning within the week after 167 days in session, and more.
