The Position Of Water And River In Classical Persian Literature, Bastian Zulyeno Jul 2019

The Position Of Water And River In Classical Persian Literature, Bastian Zulyeno

International Review of Humanities Studies

Water is one of the four elements (water, fire, soil and wind) that are most important in the history of human civilization. In the history of literature and religions in the world, water in the general picture is symbolized as a purification medium for humans to achieve happiness in life. For example, the story of the journey of Iskandar Zulkarnain and the Prophet Khidir in searching for springs of life, as well as the Prophet Moses who was washed away in the Nile, and so forth many stories and legends related to water. The Euphrates and Tigris rivers are two …

Bird Symbolism In Persian Mysticism Poetry, Irmawati Marwoto

International Review of Humanities Studies

This article discusses about bird symbolism in Persian Mysticism Poetry, because images of birds in Islamic mysticism are important symbols and are included in the prominent symbols among other symbols such as wine, roses and gardens. The bird symbol does not only have one single meaning, namely a symbol of the soul, but it also has another meaning. The bird symbol not only as a symbol of the soul but also as a symbol of certain people, experiences and creation. The Sufis who isolate themselves are symbolized as birds in the cage of exile, while Sufis who are killed are …

The Preservation Of Semantic Variety In The Prose Exposition, Ozoda Tojiboyeva Phd

Philology Matters

The article deals with a comparative analysis of Alisher Navai’s novel the “Sabai Sayyor” and his first prosaic narrative in the Uzbek literature “Nasri Xamsai benazir”. It focuses on the issues as the restoration of the elements supporting the semantic colorness such as seven novels, seven colors. The comparative analysis of the preservation of the meaningful layer in the prose indicates the peculiarities of both texts. The sequence order of chapters of the poem is of great importance in the context of the meaning according to compositional layout. Since the role of part in the discovery of the essence of …

Advocating For The Use Of Poetry And Mixed Media Work In Analytic Processes, Jason D. Dehart

The Qualitative Report

As part of my analytical process of looking at data collected from a pilot study on the use of film in the classroom, I discovered that I had the space to engage in a creative analysis process. In this article, I propose that creative methods be employed when analyzing data. An arts-based approach to research (Barone & Eisner, 1997) led to two creative products for my research: Poetry, which has been used with research in the past (Cahnmann, 2003; McCullis, 2013) and mixed media. This article explores relevant literature about integrating poetry and other arts into analysis and serves to …

To Be Known: A Supervisee Experience, Alexa R. Ashworth

Counseling and Family Therapy Scholarship Review

Presented before you are a collective of raw, untamed poetic thoughts from my experiences as a Youth Treatment Counselor. In writing this personal narrative I have been able to let the inner turmoil of my soul soar with peace once more. You will discover how invalidation from supervisors and staff can quickly leave you at a standstill, being left to feel alone. My goal for writing this piece has been to create mental metaphors for others in the field who built up walls as a form of self-preservation, to feel comfort when there is no end. I hope my honesty …
