This study evaluates the enforcement of public health protocols in deciding the COVID-19 distribution chain. The evaluation is based on contributions among international students in higher education and examined their experiences and activities engaging in activities against the COVID-19 epidemic. The research focuses on the collaborative activities of students of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia with Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin State Islamic University Banten, Indonesia. Through observation and direct and online involvement with the community, the study is qualitative and employs an inductive approach. The aim of this research was to examine how the UKRIDA’s motto “Loving, Enlightening, Advanced, Determined” (abbreviated to “LEAD”) builds an organizational culture in the university’s library unit. This research used the qualitative method of ethnography and was conducted by means of observation, interviews and document analysis. The purposive sampling method was used to select the respondents, namely employees who worked in the library unit, were active in research, and had participated in the dissemination of UKRIDA’s “LEAD” values. This research examines how women voice their narratives through tattoos by studying the experiences of seven tattooed women. Using the in-depth interview method, this research presents the narratives of these tattooed women in relation to their tattoos. Such narratives seem to be strongly intertwined with their life stories. The body is a medium in which a person can place certain markers to achieve certain purposes. As Butler theorizes, what the body displays is not the real self, but only an appearance according to the assumed or chosen role. This article illustrates residents’ local wisdom and social well-being regarding tourism development in a coastal area. Tourism development is believed to cause various impacts in various aspects of residents’ life, such as economic, socio-cultural and environmental. This article will explain how those impacts, added to residents’ local wisdom, result in different perceptions from them. The research which was conducted for this article used qualitative methods, involving 18 informants in semi-structured interviews in Saporkren and Sawingrai, Raja Ampat. Amish people have a reputation for being ecologically and environmentally conscientious. As numerous scholars in Amish and Plain Anabaptist studies have demonstrated, Amish views of the environment are diverse and ultimately anchored in the understanding that God made nature for human use. During Burundi's 1993-2005 civil war, students at Buta Minor Seminary were ordered at gunpoint to separate by ethnicity—Hutus over here, Tutsis over there! They chose instead to join hands and affirm their common identity as children of God. The forty students killed were quickly proclaimed martyrs of fraternity. Their costly solidarity defused the cry for reprisals and continues to inspire Burundians and others on the path of reconciliation. As such, philosophy of mind and theological anthropology, specifically, what it means to be human, the effects of sin, and the consequent social ramifications of AI drive the analysis of this paper. In September 2018, in Cordoba, Argentina, citizens witnessed the launching of a campaign in a public transport line with the inscription «#Con mis hijos no te metas.» It was enacted against the Comprehensive Sex Education Law (ESI) and sponsored by the Christian Church Cita con la Vida. This article analyzes the incidence of conservative evangelical churches in local politics based on this campaign in public. It concludes that in the religious field, conservative evangelical churches dispute the monopoly of the Roman Catholic Church —primarily political and social power— through the use of public space.

Deaths from unintentional injuries are the seventh leading cause of death among older adults and falls account for the largest percentage of these deaths, with individuals aged ≥85 particularly vulnerable. Physical activity can reduce frailty and prevent falls; however, many elders are not physically active and women, ethnic minorities, and those with low education levels are the least active. Moreover, experiences of racial discrimination can lead to increased stress and unhealthy adaptive behaviors, and the cumulative effects of age and race related stressors have been shown to negatively impact the physical and mental health of elderly African Americans. The news arguably serves to inform the quantitative reasoning (QR) of news audiences. Before one can contemplate how well the news serves this function, we first need to determine how much QR typical news stories require from readers. This paper assesses the amount of quantitative content present in a wide array of media sources, and the types of QR required for audiences to make sense of the information presented. Using an evolutionary genetic disease model, this review considers Vitamin C (VC) and its potential for treating COVID-19 (CV-19). The model’s validity rests on VC’s potent antioxidant property and the mutation sustained by the primate ancestor (est.) 61 MYA that left humans unable to produce VC. The result is humans cannot -by diet or oral supplementation- achieve plasma VC concentrations typical of vitamin C synthesizers. This may leave humans chronically vulnerable to infectious disease (hypoascorbemia). Indigenous archaeologies allow for new methodologies and theoretical approaches into archaeological studies by promoting collaborative research. This paper explores specific approaches, including member-orientated interpretations, language and lifeway advocacy, collaborative workshops, and insertion of intellectual property rights into research. This paper demonstrates that Indigenous and archaeological ontologies do not have to oppose one another and the integration of both reflect a relevant and holistic type of study. It is argued that archaeologists need to rethink their approaches as scientists when working with Indigenous communities and to readily integrate participatory methodologies to create an inclusive, pluralistic, and critical archaeology.

The island of Hawaii exhibits extremes in dog welfare ranging from dogs as family members to dogs used as commodities, either as guard or hunting dogs, with many lacking appropriate care. This study offers a preliminary exploration of people’s attitudes toward companion and noncompanion dogs and the health and welfare implications for humans and dogs. Data collection included interviews and surveys conducted among 20 companion dog/human and eight guard dog/human dyads. Blood pressure (BP) was monitored during interviews to assess stress.
