A Study Of The Beneficiation Of Low-Grade Domestic Chromite, Darrell Edward Bodie
A Study Of The Beneficiation Of Low-Grade Domestic Chromite, Darrell Edward Bodie
Bachelors Theses and Reports, 1928 - 1970
Chromite, a strategic mineral, is being consumed in ever increasing quantities in the United States today. Although the United States imports practically all of the chromite that is being consumed, it is gradually becoming necessary to exploit the low-grade deposits that are located within the United States, and also the low-grade deposits of Canada.
A Preliminary Study Of The Benefication Of Montana Corundum, John L. Brown
A Preliminary Study Of The Benefication Of Montana Corundum, John L. Brown
Bachelors Theses and Reports, 1928 - 1970
The objective of this thesis was to affect an efficient and economical recovery of corundum. The corundum occurs as a crude ore admixed with quartz and other diluents. Yet, this material is a potential Montana resource of a valuable non-metallic mineral. In view of the strategic importance and the relatively small production of this mineral in the United States, it seems advisable at this time in world affairs to investigate every possible source of this mineral.
Underground Stratigraphy Of Montana, Virgil R. Chamberlain
Underground Stratigraphy Of Montana, Virgil R. Chamberlain
Bachelors Theses and Reports, 1928 - 1970
The purpose of this thesis is to study the subsurface stratigraphy of the state of Montana from information acquired from well logs, composite logs, and measured sections. Underground stratigraphy is important for the intelligent prospecting for oil, gas, or water. A knowledge of the strata beneath us can be gathered only by measurements of numerous outcrops or by deep drilling with careful sampling or logging of the formations passed through.
A Preliminary Study Of Montana Copper - Nickel Ore, J. Argall Mcallister
A Preliminary Study Of Montana Copper - Nickel Ore, J. Argall Mcallister
Bachelors Theses and Reports, 1928 - 1970
Deposits of sulfides, containing nickel and copper with associated platineferous minerals occur in the Stillwater Igneous Complex. This is a group of unusual igneous rocks situated in Stillwater and Sweetgrass counties in Montana.
A Metallurgical Study Of Gold Ores, Alfred A. Bloom
A Metallurgical Study Of Gold Ores, Alfred A. Bloom
Bachelors Theses and Reports, 1928 - 1970
Gold is widely distributed in the earth's crust in small quantities. Gold is found in nature in two forms; the element itself and the compound gold telluride. In all cases, silver in some proportion is an alloying constituent.
Roasting And Leaching Bulk Copper-Zinc Sulfide Concentrates With The Subsequent Recovery Of The Metals By Electrolysis, Carl Wesley Sawyer
Roasting And Leaching Bulk Copper-Zinc Sulfide Concentrates With The Subsequent Recovery Of The Metals By Electrolysis, Carl Wesley Sawyer
Bachelors Theses and Reports, 1928 - 1970
The aim of this research was to investigate the possibilities of roasting and leaching a bulk copper-zinc sulfide concentrate, and the subsequent separation of the metals from the leach solution by electrolytic deposition.
