While detractors believe that commercial cyber espionage hasn’t really stopped, recent Chinese efforts show a government trying to get a handle on its large spying apparatus that could include hired and independent contractors acting autonomously in addition to its other resources. While complete cessation may never occur, significant timely reduction demonstrates Beijing’s willingness to work with the United States as a partner and not a pariah, and provides a foundation from which the two governments can move forward on other cyber security areas where incongruity persists.

This paper is the first of two papers whose combined goal is to explore the dessins d'enfant and symmetries of quasi-platonic actions of PSL2(q). A quasi-platonic action of a group G on a closed Riemann S surface is a conformal action for which S/G is a sphere and S->S/G is branched over {0, 1,infinity}. The cold battery is a heat exchanger between two fluids, air (secondary fluid) and iced water (primary fluid).The cold battery is composed of two heat exchangers in series, one of which is made up of flat-plate in galvanized steel serving as a reservoir for the iced water and the other one a copper shelland-tube exchanger with aluminum cooling blades. The DePaul University Richardson Library conducted a study of an interactive, touch-based wayfinding screen in order to determine 1) what specific content needs users desire in digital wayfinding services and 2) are user content needs so broad, a more full-feature experience with access to all library web content would be preferred. The three-phase study included analysis of click analytics data, observations of user interactions and questionnaires targeting user experiences and expectations. With internet-connected, SCADA and cyber-physical systems becoming the next battlefield for crime and warfare, technologies for defending and attacking these systems are growing in prevalence. For entities with significant asset collections that are prospectively vulnerable to this type of an attack, autonomous response, retaliation and attack capabilities are necessary to respond to a growing threat from numerous sectors. This paper presents a command and control technique for cyberwarfare based on the Blackboard Architecture. It discusses the utility of this approach and proposes a distributed command system that can run across multiple nodes of various types.

Local variety of lime (Lemun tsami) was subjected to quasi-static compressive loading using Instron Universal Testing Machine at three levels of time after harvest; freshly harvested, one and two weeks after harvest. Creep parameters were determined by fitting the experimental data to the Burger’s Model and the obtained model equation for freshly harvested was: 𝑱 𝒕 = 𝟏. 𝟖𝟒𝟑 + 𝟐. 𝟓𝟗[ 1 – е (-t/2.933) ]+ 𝒕 𝟏𝟏𝟔𝟎.𝟎𝟗𝟑 , R 2 = 0.98. An attitude determination and control system (ADCS) is used to orient a spacecraft for a wide variety of purposes (e.g., to keep a camera facing Earth or orient the spacecraft for propulsion system use). The proposed intelligent ADCS has several key features: first, it can be used in multiple modes, spanning from passive stabilization of two axes and unconstrained spin on a third to three-axis full active stabilization. It also includes electromagnetic components to ‘dump’ spin from the reaction wheels. The OpenOrbiter project is a campus-wide effort at the University of North Dakota to design and build a low-cost CubeSat-class satellite. The intent is to create a publically- available framework that allows a spacecraft to be built with a parts cost of less than USD $5,000 (excluding mission payload-specific costs). This paper focuses on OpenOrbiter’s software system methodology and implementation.

The water-limited environment of the semiarid Central Great Plains may not produce enough cover crop biomass to generate benefits associated with cover crop use in more humid regions. There have been reports that cover crops grown in mixtures produce more biomass with greater water use efficiency than single-species plantings. This study was conducted to determine differences in cover crop biomass production, water use efficiency, and residue cover between a mixture and single-species plantings. Anomaly detection is a widely used technique to detect system intrusions. Anomaly detection in Intrusion Detection and Prevent Systems (IDPS) works by establishing a baseline of normal behavior and classifying points that are at a farther distance away as outliers. The result is an “anomaly score”, or how much a point is an outlier. Recent work has been performed which has examined use of anomaly detection in data streams [1]. We propose a new incremental anomaly detection algorithm which is up to 57,000x faster than the non-incremental version while slightly sacrificing the accuracy of results. Across the estuaries of the east coast and wetlands of the Great Lakes, the invasive grass Phragmites australis outcompetes other vegetation and destroys local ecosystems. Because its roots are tolerant to salinity that other plants find hellish, Phragmites invasions begin with vegetative spread of genetic clones in brackish marshlands.This plant can grow over three meters tall at densities of 50 stems/m2, provides poor wildlife habitat, and is very difficult to eradicate. The chapter presents a comparison of results of modelling concentrations of fine dust (suspended dust PM10) in the air with the use of two diffusion models: the Gaussian plume model (used commonly in Poland), and the Gaussian puff model CALPUFF (used significantly less frequently). It indicates discrepancies in obtained results of calculations for point emitters taking into consideration three dimensional options (with the following heights: 20, 40 and 60 m and diameters of respectively: 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 m). In this paper we present results of two DC Electrical Resistivity Tomography surveys at Deering Estate at Cutler in the Atlantic Coastal Ridge of Miami-Dade County, Florida. This County Natural Area encompasses Deering Glade and hosts one of the largest remaining tropical hardwood-hammock ecosystems in the USA. A canal extension, wetland restoration, and pump station recently constructed at Deering Estate by the South Florida Water Management District is designed to re-hydrate Deering Glade to pre-development conditions thus helping to sustain the hammock ecosystem and reverse trends in salt-water intrusion in this portion of the Biscayne aquifer. In this paper the effects of Hall current on MHD free convection flow in a vertical rotating channel filled with porous medium have been studied. A uniform magnetic field is applied in the direction normal to the plates. The entire system rotates about an axis normal to the planes of the plates with uniform angular velocity ' . Rayleigh-scatter lidar observations were made on many clear nights at the Atmospheric Lidar Observatory (ALO) at Utah State University (USU) from 1993 to 2004 in the altitude range 45–90 km. An upgraded facility, 66 times more sensitive, has been brought on line. It has resulted in temperature measurements with maximum altitudes that extend into new territory—the lower thermosphere. All-night temperature averages have been recorded up to an altitude of 114 km. Temperatures from each month, starting in June 2014, are presented and discussed. They are compared to each other, to the ALO-USU climatology from the original lidar, and to temperatures …
