The Purpose of this thesis is to document the project that designed, configured and implemented a network infrastructure that provided the capability to segment, current and future, non-MegaComm Media Center companies that need IT services from the MegaComm Media Center (MMC) and provided Business-to- Business connectivity. The MegaComm Media Center, located in Littleton, Colorado, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the MegaComm Corporation. The MMC provides unique services to the cable industry. WICHE staff, consultants and constituents that connect to WICHE's network are provided with internet access and e-mail accounts. In the past, email was not monitored or controlled, other than scanning e-mail attachments for viruses with Norton Antivirus for Exchange Server. This has become a problem for several reasons. Just a few of the reasons are viruses, wasted staff time, inappropriate material stored on the network and inappropriate use of network resources. The Service Learning Practicum is a document driven knowledge management system. The purpose of the Practicum is to involve MSCIT students in IT projects that support and provide solutions to non-profit organizations or non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The main documents that drive the practicum are the student application; the NGO needs statement; and the student's thesis, design, and research documents. The practicum unites graduate students with NGOs. This project will research, analyze, design, and implement a computerized system that will assist patients in creating a personal diet plan based upon a "rotation diet." This diet, specifically designed for patients with severe food allergies, requires that a patient may only eat a particular food every n days (where n is any number), and foods from the same biological food family every n days. Currently, patients use either pen-and-paper or a computerized spreadsheet to create weekly or monthly food meal plans for the diet plan.
