The game of baseball has changed a lot in the past twenty years. It can be primarily attributed to the explosion in data analytics and how they are used to evaluate baseball players. This led to different player profiles being preferred and eventually led to the development of players changing. As a result, the strategies employed have also evolved and turned into a different game than seen only a couple of decades ago. This paper will explore the changes that the game has seen.
