Factors Affecting Electronic Banking Adoption In Barbados, Jacqueline Delores Bend
Factors Affecting Electronic Banking Adoption In Barbados, Jacqueline Delores Bend
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
The low rate of customers' adoption of electronic banking services affects retail banks' profitability. The operating cost for a financial transaction performed by bank tellers averages US$1.07 compared to US$0.01 using electronic banking channels. It is paramount for retail banking leaders to understand the factors influencing customer adoption of electronic banking to sustain competitive advantage. Grounded in the technology acceptance model framework, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the relationship between perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), and customer adoption of electronic banking in Barbados. The validated technology acceptance model survey instrument was used …

Exploration Of Ehr Implementation Strategies: A Qualitative Study, Scot Eric Loerch
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
AbstractElectronic health record system implementations have a high failure rate when properly developed strategies are not used. These implementation failures affect healthcare workers and practitioners core roles through a lack of documentation practices, which decreases the quality of the care of the patients. Grounded in the technology acceptance model, the purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to explore the strategies information technology systems engineers use for the implementation of Health Information Management Systems. The participants were 10 information technology systems engineers from three healthcare organizations in the greater Tennessee area. The data were collected through recorded participant interviews …

The Challenges Of Adopting Cloud Computing In Nigerian Government Organizations, Ayodele Adegbenga Bakare
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Several technical challenges prevent the adoption of cloud computing by government organizations in Nigeria. Information technology (IT) leaders in the Nigerian government are concerned about this problem because the lack of cloud computing adoption may prevent the Nigerian government from taking advantage of cloud-based information systems to improve its service delivery to citizens and businesses. Grounded in the technology acceptance model, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine if IT administrators’ perception of data security and perception of fault tolerance can predict their intentions to adopt cloud computing. Data were collected from 79 IT administrators in government …

Relationship Between Perceived Usefulness, Ease Of Use, And Acceptance Of Business Intelligence Systems, Christina Ndiwa Sandema-Sombe
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
In retail, the explosion of data sources and data has provided incentive to invest in information systems (IS), which enable leaders to understand the market and make timely decisions to improve performance. Given that users’ perceptions of IS affects their use of IS, understanding the factors influencing user acceptance is critical to acquiring an effective business intelligence system (BIS) for an organization. Grounded in the technology acceptance model theory, the purpose of this correlational study was to examine the relationship between perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), and user acceptance of business intelligence systems (BIS) in retail organizations. …

Factors That Predict The Adoption Of Online Shopping In Saudi Arabia, Momen Nachar
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Despite the increased numbers of online consumers, e-commerce growth is slow in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this correlational study, the technology acceptance model (TAM) was used as a theoretical framework to examine whether perceived ease of use of e-commerce platforms and perceived usefulness of e-commerce platforms could predict consumers' intention to adopt shopping online. A pre-existing TAM survey instrument was used to collect data from consumers (N = 95) who live in a City and have shopped at least once online. The regression analysis confirmed a positive statistically significant relationship between perceived ease of use of e-commerce platforms …
Health Portal Functionality And The Use Of Patient-Centered Technology, Anita Joyce Simmons
Health Portal Functionality And The Use Of Patient-Centered Technology, Anita Joyce Simmons
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Health portals are dedicated web pages for medical practices to provide patients access to their electronic health records. The problem identified in this quality improvement project was that the health portal in the urgent care setting had not been available to staff nor patients. To provide leadership with information related to opening the portal, the first purpose of the project was to assess staff and patients' perceived use, ease of use, attitude toward using, and intention to use the portal. The second purpose was to evaluate the portal education materials for the top 5 urgent care diagnoses: diabetes, hypertension, asthma, …

Collaboration Strategies To Reduce Technical Debt, Jeffrey Allen Miko
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Inadequate software development collaboration processes can allow technical debt to accumulate increasing future maintenance costs and the chance of system failures. The purpose of this qualitative case study was to explore collaboration strategies software development leaders use to reduce the amount of technical debt created by software developers. The study population was software development leaders experienced with collaboration and technical debt at a large health care provider in the state of California. The data collection process included interviews with 8 software development leaders and reviewing 19 organizational documents relating to software development methods. Health Information Technology Implementation Strategies In Zimbabwe, Nixjoen Mandaza Mapesa
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
The adoption rate of health information technology (HIT) remains low in developing countries, where healthcare institutions experience high operating costs and loss of revenue, which are related to systems and processes inefficiency. The purpose of this case study was to explore strategies leaders in Zimbabwe used to implement HIT. The conceptual framework of the study was Davis's technology acceptance model (TAM). Data were gathered through observations, review of organizational documents (i.e., policies, procedures, and guidelines), and in-depth interviews with a purposive sample of 10 healthcare leaders and end-users from hospitals in Zimbabwe who had successfully implemented HIT. Transcribed interview data …
