Robotic Machining From Programming To Process Control: A Complete Solution By Force Control, Zengxi Pan, Hui Zhang

This paper aims to present the critical issues and methodologies to improve robotic machining performance with flexile industrial robots. Design/methodology/approach – A complete solution using active force control is introduced to address various issues during the robotic machining process.

Programming complex couture parts without a CAD model is made easy by using force control functions such as lead-through and path-learning. The problem of process control is treated with a novel methodology that consists of stiffness modeling, real-time deformation compensation for quality and controlled material removal rate for process efficiency.

Experimental results showed that higher productivity as well as better surface …

Construction Of Universal Designated-Verifier Signatures And Identity-Based Signatures From Standard Signatures, Siamak Fayyaz Shahandashti, Reihaneh Safavi-Naini Jan 2008

We give a generic construction for universal designated-verifier signature schemes from a large class, C, of signature schemes. The resulting schemes are efficient and have two important properties. Firstly, they are provably DV-unforgeable, non-transferable and also non-delegatable. Secondly, the signer and the designated verifier can independently choose their cryptographic settings. We also propose a generic construction for identity-based signature schemes from any signature scheme in C and prove that the construction is secure against adaptive chosen message and identity attacks. We discuss possible extensions of our constructions to universal multi-designated-verifier signatures, hierarchical identity-based signatures, identity-based universal designated verifier signatures, and …

In health informatics, the "updated DeLone and McLean IS success model" is reviewed as a mature model in measuring health information system (HIS) success. This research provided an evaluation model to estimate the implementation of electronic medical records (EMR) systems from a health professional perspective by combined the updated DeLone and McLean IS success model, data quality management model, and EMR systems safety attributes. Based on evidence-based management (EBM), this research could be regarded as an empirical example for further EMR systems research since it not only provided a model to measure the Taiwanese EMR systems in two hospitals by …
