The purpose of this quantitative study was to investigate the effects of adaptive computer-assisted instruction (CAI) on student mathematics achievement. The researcher sought to describe factors that may influence academic achievement for eight-grade students. The instruments used to gather data were post curriculum-based mathematics benchmark assessment data administered during fall, winter, and spring semesters, the spring mathematic assessment for the Georgia Milestones, and open and close-ended questionnaires. A purposeful sampling of 63 students were chosen to complete questionnaires. Data analyzed from the 2018 Mathematics scores from SchoolCity and the Georgia Milestones revealed that the SuccessMaker® online adaptive software tool positively …

This applied dissertation was designed to implement and examine the impact of a classroom performance system (CPS) on student achievement for Grade 9 mathematics students. Seventy-five students in 4 Coordinate Algebra classes were observed during the regular school day for 9 weeks. The treatment group received CPS-based instruction, and the control group received traditional mathematics instruction without the use of a CPS. The teacher was the same for all classes.

Data from benchmark assessments as well as quarterly grade reports were compared for both groups. The findings of this study showed mixed results in relation to the impact of CPS-based …

A local government in South Florida launched a training program to improve employee engagement on climate change using best practices in adult learning and climate communication to bridge the gap between climate science and action in government operations. The purpose of this program evaluation was to determine whether that climate change development and training program for local government employees met its stated goals and objectives. This evaluation blended a component of Stufflebeam’s Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) model with Kirpatrick’s Four Levels model.
