Beach and water fronting property are a major asset to any community. These properties, whether public or private, are typically associated with the highest real estate values, as well as the greatest recreational or “quality of life” benefits. Living along the shoreline, however, offers its challenges in terms of susceptibility to damages and flooding resulting from coastal storms.
