Environmental Analysis Of Codfish Production And Consumption In Portugal, Ayla Frost, Joana Almeida, Joana Dionisio, Radu Godina, Cátia Magro
Journal of Critical Global Issues
Codfish, a typical dish consumed frequently in Portugal, is fished in the cold Northern Atlantic waters far from the Portuguese coast. Thus, regional tensions and the environmental impacts of Portuguese codfish importation and production are significant current issues. The present study uses a life cycle assessment methodology to evaluate the array of environmental impacts of the production of 1 kg of codfish, following a cradle to gate approach. The life cycle inventory was grouped into catch and preprocessing, transit, and curing stages. The data collection of products and processes in each stage was based on scientific peer reviewed documents, technical …
A Review:Geological Feasibility And Technological Applicability Of Underground Coal Gasification, Jiang Xiuming, Wu Caifang
A Review:Geological Feasibility And Technological Applicability Of Underground Coal Gasification, Jiang Xiuming, Wu Caifang
Coal Geology & Exploration
Underground coal gasification (UCG) is a potential new method of coal utilization, which is of great significance for alleviating China’s energy crisis, ensuring national energy security, and achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. It has always been valued by countries all over the world. On the suitability of UCG resource conditions, the feasibility of process and technology, and the controllability of environmental impact, this paper summarizes the development status of UCG technology, and clarifies the coal resource reserves suitable for UCG technology, different standards of geological area selection and location selection technology, the development history and applicable conditions of …

Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
Sweet crunchy carrots, luscious strawberries at very reasonable prices, crisp green vegetables - these are just a few of the horticultural products that Western Australians take for granted and eat almost every day. But is their future availability guaranteed as population grows, suburbia spreads and environmental concern increases?

Red Kangaroos Can Set Back Range Regeneration, Andrew Mclaughlin
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
After years of severe drought, stocking rates in Western Australia s arid rangelands have been kept low since the 1970s to allow native pastures to regenerate. As well, extensive re-seeding programs have started and sheep and cattle grazing on these areas has been restricted or eliminated. However, pasture regeneration in the rangelands can only succeed when grazing by all animals - sheep, cattle, kangaroos, goo.ts, camels, brumbies and donkeys - is controlled Many more red kangaroos roam throughout Western Australia's pastoral areas today than 20 years ago. The installation of windmills and troughs to water domestic livestock has allowed kangaroo …
